This qualification is based on fire safety in ‘simple’ premises, such as shops, offices or industrial units.

It is aimed at those who are responsible for carrying out fire risk assessments and ensuring fire safety arrangements are in place, for example:  Fire Risk Assessors, Facilities Staff, Health & Safety Practitioners.

Whats involved?

The qualification is made up of 4 mandatory modules.  The total duration is 13 days classroom training plus a distance learning module.

Module 1: Introduction to Fire Safety and Risk Assessment (8 days)

Identify and report hazards and risks associated with fire in simple premises

Assess risks associated with fire in simple premises

Ensure measures are in place to protect people from fire in simple premises

Module 2: Fire Protection Systems (2 days)

Review matters relating to fire protection systems in simple premises

Module 3: Formal Fire Safety Regulations (3 days)

Plan and gather evidence for the purpose of fire safety regulation in simple premises

Module 4: Auditing Simple Premises (Distance Learning)

Visit premises for the purpose of fire safety regulation

Are accreditation and examination fees included?

Yes –  course accreditation fees and certification fees are included in the course price.

I have a physical disability, what facilities do you have?

Our training centre in Chorley is fully accessible with the main training room located on the ground floor. There is a wheelchair accessible toilet on the ground floor and a wheelchair accessible lift to the first floor.

I have dyslexia, or other needs, is there any support available?

We can make reasonable adjustment to support your specific needs: Policy and Procedure for Access Arrangements, Reasonable Adjustments and Special Consideration

Is lunch provided?

Yes, within the cost of the course there is a buffet lunch, hot and cold drinks and biscuits for those attending in person.

What payment plan options are available?

If you would prefer to split the payment for this course you can pay in 2 or 3 instalments, as long as the final payment is made before you take the exam.  Please call our admin team who can set this up for you.
